How do you delete pictures from the desktop pictures folder on a mac?

Posted on January 20th, 2011 by admin

My friend set the desktop of my mac to a picture that would be embarrassing if someone was on my computer and saw in the desktop pictures folder that it was once my background. Unfortunately it seems impossible to delete pictures from the "Pictures Folder" in the "Desktop & Screen Saver" part of "System preferences". Any ideas?

First change it to a different one,
Then go to the pictures folder and move it into your trash. If it’s really embarrassing then click trash and click empty trash. It will delete it forever and it won’t bs on your computer…(?)

How do you get deleted pictures off of a digital camera?

Posted on January 15th, 2011 by admin

I can’t just put the SD Card in the computer, because of a weird error it has. The only way for me to get the pictures is for me to plug my camera up to the computer.

When I was saving the pictures, I accidentally saved the same pictures twice (thinking I saved the others too) and deleted them all. I’ve downloaded Disk Doctors Photo Recovery, but it doesn’t recognize my camera as a drive, so it won’t recover them.

Does anyone have an suggestions as to how I can get the pictures back?

I have had success with this… Download the program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/ You must not take anymore pictures on your card. You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the asoftech program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press “Start” and wait for it to do it’s magic.

You need to use a card reader either one already in your computer (some have one, some don’t). Or buy an external USB card reader. They are around 10.00 and can be found at walmart, bestbuy, frys, probably target.

How to transger pictures from my Sony Cybershot to the Computer?

Posted on December 26th, 2010 by admin

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W320/W330. When I connect the camera to the computer, the computer sees it and i can view pictures on my card that i took with my old camera. And I cannot find the new pictures I took with this one. I downloaded the software and still cant find the new folder with the new pictures taken.

As I understand your question–

You took photos with a camera
You removed the memory card from that camera and put it in a different camera
You took more photos
You can only see the first lot of photos

Really, you should have saved the first lot of pics to your PC then, after checking this was successful, you should have FORMATTED the memory card in the NEW camera.

Now the new camera is only showing the original pics.

Try using a card reader to view what is on the card

How do these kind of pictures work?

Posted on November 17th, 2010 by admin

Hi. I’ve been wondering about this for a while. There are some pictures ( usually kids cartoonist pictures) that usually have a bumpy surface. It looks one way when look at from a certain way, but if you look at it from another angle it kind of animates to change to a new picture. What are these kind of pictures called? How do they work?

Thanks!

I think this what you’re describing:

Lenticular printing is a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to produce images with an illusion of depth, or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles. Examples of lenticular printing include prizes given in Cracker Jack snack boxes that showed flip and animation effects such as winking eyes, and modern advertising graphics that change their message depending on the viewing angle. This technology was created in the 1940s but has evolved in recent years to show more motion and increased depth. Originally used mostly in novelty items, lenticular prints are now being used as a marketing tool to show products in motion. Recent advances in large-format presses have allowed for oversized lenses to be used in lithographic lenticular printing.[1]

Can you take pictures before putting the memory card in a camera?

Posted on November 15th, 2010 by admin

I mean due to some complications I can’t get the memory immediately but, I have to take pictures now. So, if I take pictures and then get the memory card and put it in. Will those pictures be stored successfully on the memory card or do I have to take pictures while the memory card is in.

You can take a picture but when you take the picture then the picture is not going to be saved without a memory card

How do you make two separate pictures into one single picture?

Posted on November 13th, 2010 by admin

Like, if I want to have two separate pictures as one single file/picture, how do I add that picture to the other one? I’m talking about on the computers.
I scanned this one picture but want to add another one to it so that it becomes one file. Two pictures won’t fit in my scanner though, so I had to scan the two separately, but I don’t know how to make them one single file/picture. Can anyone help?

You have to use a graphics editor and set the canvas to the size of the two images. Load each into the editor and copy/paste/place with the editor’s tools. Or, might use one of these:

Collage Makers:

Shape Collage (Free Automatic Photo Collage Maker): http://www.shapecollage.com/
Picture2Life is a powerful, but simple and easy-to-use online image editor which also allows you to create collages and animated gif’s (or animations): http://www.picture2life.com/Tour/Default.aspx

http://www.megacollage.com/index.html (The best compilations of popular media including custom photo collages, music and video playlists and text compilations.)

That’s overkill for two pictures, but it’ll work.

How do I transfer pictures from my computer to my Sprint cell phone?

Posted on October 29th, 2010 by admin

I don’t have picture mail on my phone, but I do have the USB cord that transfers pictures between the computer and phone. I know how to transfer pictures from my phone to the computer. But I want to transfer pictures from my computer to my phone. How do I do that? I can’t figure it out. I have the new Sprint Rumor Touch if that makes a difference.

Plug the phone in using the USB cord, and then go to My Computer, and under "Devices”, open up the phone device, and go to images, and then just drag the pictures from your computer, to that folder (of images on your phone.)

How should I put my pictures on my wall?

Posted on October 11th, 2010 by admin

I developed all my pictures off of my camera and i want to make a collage on my bedroom wall but i don’t know whether to tape it (with double sided tape so its thinner) or staple it (but im planning to put up atleast 150 pictures) so the staples might ruin the paint/wall. I don’t wanna use pins or thumbtacks cause it looks tacky. Oh and there not picture frames. It’s just pictures. Do you use tape or staplers?

Double sided tape can be a beast to remove (and tougher to repair than holes when it’s time to redecorate), and it leaves a bumpy surface, too. A stapler is probably your best bet, though there are a million different pins to choose from. I’d look at an office supply store or online to see if I found any I liked for this project. Can you tape any of them together from the back so you don’t have to use so many staples? Kind of like bunch them up a little or are you hanging them all individually? Staples aren’t going to ruin your wall any more than pins would, and like I said, double sided tape can be a nightmare to get off. All the pin holes will need is a little spackle and a fresh coat of paint.
