There is a speck on …
There is a speck on a picture and Blitzer is suggesting it is the kid in the basket falling to the ground. First, why would there be only a picture and not footage? Seems like a lucky picture.
Fact checking used to be part of journalism. Is it a fact that this is a basket falling? No, so he should not have gone with it.
I believe it is the lowering of journalistic standards. Plus you have the 24 hour news channels. Then, you throw in news as entertainment and not informative.

How is that a fail? News personalities ask questions all the time that don’t get amazing, interesting answers and it didn’t sound like this Tom guy was even a part of the news crew, he was associated with the search for this kid. All he was saying was that an unidentified spec on a still photo wasn’t a huge lead. I mean what do you get from the picture Dick Tracy?
