    First of all – …
    First of all – wonderful, wonderful performance. Really like the conductor, and he’s wonderful to watch.
    A few criticisms; at 5:40 the tempo seems twice as fast as Georg Solti’s with the Chicago Symphony. It’s such a beautiful section when played slowly. And the violins are so low in the mix! And is that a stray bass drum hit at 7:17?
    But overall…heaven.

    I don’t feel like the tempo’s too fast in Fowl’s Legs. I mean, it sounds great anyway, so who cares? Orchestra is good enough to play this fast.

    Well Orpheus1356, although it was a tad too fast during Fowl’s Legs,i think they compensated this ‘mishap’ on Great Gate Of Kiev. Still it was overall a marvellous show put up by them =D

    Baba Yaga has the perfect speed to me. Most conductors are afraid to take it too fast it seems, but the piece just has so much energy when it starts fast like this its incredible.
