Why do people who love animals cry when they see a picture of a dead animal?

I love animals and have cried seeing pictures of dead animals. why does it happen?
what about wildlife?
Hey I really know the feeling it happend to me once.
The same reason why people cry when they see a dead child.
An animal is innocent, can not defend itself against the power of humans.
Even if an animal had attacked someone, it’s still not the animals’ fault. Either, we were in their territory, or another human trained the animal to attack.
I love animals more than anything else. And I can’t bare to see a dead animal. It tears my heart out because it was an innocent life put to death.

Because it’s sad to see an animal that may not have had a good chance at life and also to think that somebody is probably sad because it was theirs

Well i do the same thing, but like i think its cuz if you pet died you would cry and seeing a different one would be the same.Also its just natural thing.

Because your heart goes out to it! They rely on us to keep them safe. Sometimes when I see an abused or dead animal it makes me think about what would happen if something happed to one of my dogs. That always makes me cry.

Because its sad. Maybe you understand hurt.
As for me, I do a lot of rescue work and see a lot of abuse with animals. I also have to see and hear about animals being put to sleep and etc. Animals are innocent. I cry all the time when I see a picture, an animal laying on the side of the road, hear a story and etc. Animals are helpless to humans, I mean they can attack you and such. But animals are our friends. If you have pets, you see all the love they give you and how sweet and innocent they are and you know everything about them. Not all animals get that kind of love.
Bottom line is, you feel for them. Nothing is wrong with you, you have a good heart and love animals. Which is an awesome thing. Animals need a lot more people like you. =D
